Mark Round 
Physiotherapist | Mark studied Physiotherapy at La Trobe University, graduating in 1993. Initially Mark worked at The Geelong Hospital performing general hospital rotations before heading overseas for an 18 month working holiday, basing himself in the U.K. Upon return from his overseas adventure Mark began work full time at Symmetry Physiotherapy and is now the principal physiotherapist and owner at Symmetry Physiotherapy Hoppers Crossing. Over this time he has had extensive experience working with elite and suburban sporting teams. He was the physiotherapist for the Australian under 19 baseball team and the Victorian under 18 baseball team from 1998 to 2002, and is currently a consultant to the Victorian Institute of Sport baseball academy. He is the physiotherapist for the Hoppers Crossing Football Club and has been involved for 12 years as well as working with elite tennis players and the Australian Triathlon circuit. From this sporting team involvement, Mark has developed a special interest in treating and rehabilitating shoulder and knee injuries. To further this interest he is currently completing his Masters in Sports Physiotherapy at Latrobe University that will provide him the title of Sports Physiotherapist. Mark is very passionate about the growth and development of Symmetry Physiotherapy. Outside of work he plays tennis in the Victorian pennant competition and enjoys being involved with the growth and happiness of his two children Mikaela and Mitchell. |
Aaron Wong

Physiotherapist | Aaron graduated from his physiotherapy training at the University of Otago (New Zealand) in 2001. For 4 years he worked at 3 Stripe Rehabilitation in Wellington, treating some of New Zealand’s top professional and amateur athletes. He was the club physiotherapist for the Lower Hutt City Football club as well as servicing many of Wellington’s local rugby union and league clubs. Aaron recently moved to Australia with his wife Catherine and joined the team at Symmetry physiotherapy in May 2006. He is already proving to be a very valuable part of our physiotherapy team. Aaron’s clinical areas of interest include sport injuries, lower limb biomechanics and exercise prescription. His time is now also taken up changing nappies following the birth of his daughter Isabella. |
Leki Sisifa

Physiotherapist | Leki graduated his Physiotherapy degree at The Melbourne University in 2007 and during his course was exposed to many different clinical situations at leading Melbourne hospitals and private practices.
Leki has since developed a keen interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, particularly in the biomechanics of the lower limb and in spinal pain and its management.
Growing up very active in the sporting world, Leki has represented South Australia in state soccer (U14 and U16) and was a Victorian rugby union state representative (U19 and U21). Still currently playing competitive Rugby Union in the Premier Division of Victoria, Leki has kept his close association with Footscray RUFC as player and club physiotherapist.
Leki looks to develop close ties within the Rugby fraternity in Victoria and later specialise in sports physiotherapy. He has also recently been awarded the honourable title of young citizen of the year award at the Hobson’s Bay Council awards with his voluntary work with Pacific Island youth. |
Chelsea Smith

Physiotherapist | Chelsea graduated from The University of Melbourne in 2003. Since then she has worked in both acute and rehabilitative settings, and developed a special interest in the treatment of sports and musculoskeletal injuries.
She spent time overseas in 2006 and 2007, traveling throughout Europe and Africa and living in the United Kingdom, where she was employed in both the public and private health care sectors. During this time she worked with sports and spinal pain clients, and gained extensive experience in post-operative orthopaedic physiotherapy.
Since returning to Australia, Chelsea has worked in private practice, and pursued her interest in Pilates and the management of spinal and lower limb injuries. She has previously worked with football and running clubs and individual athletes, and is a keen sportsperson herself. She has completed the Melbourne Marathon and several half marathons, and has also represented Victoria in Touch Football. |
Stephen Dow
Physiotherapist | Stephen graduated from Auckland University of Technology in 2003 with a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Physiotherapy, and joined Symmetry Physiotherapy in 2008.
Initially he ran a private practice on Auckland’s North Shore for a year as a sole practitioner, before moving on to take up a cricket contract in Vancouver, Canada as a player. As well as playing high level cricket he also worked in a private practice sports physiotherapy clinic, with an area of interest in exercise rehabilitation. In 2006 Stephen returned to NZ for 2 years where he again worked in a busy private practice with a large netball, rugby and softball clientele.
Stephen is fanatical about most sports, particularly Cricket, Rugby, Golf and Basketball. He has represented Auckland in cricket at U/19 level in NZ, as well as being a part of the Canadian Provincial Champion teams in 2006 and 2007. He currently plays 1st grade cricket in Melbourne.
Stephen has been the physiotherapist for representative rugby teams in New Zealand, was the Auckland Indians Hockey physiotherapist, and has treated numerous elite national and provincial cricketers in New Zealand. He has a particular interest in sports injuries and cricket bowling injuries with a special focus on the lower back and lower limb injuries. |
Belinda Keogh

Physiotherapist |
Belinda graduated from Latrobe University in 2003 with a bachelor of Physiotherapy. Prior to this she completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement) in 1999, also at Latrobe University. Whilst studying over these years Belinda worked as a receptionist at Symmetry Physiotherapy. On graduation she began her professional career with Symmetry Physiotherapy and is now a valuable member of our team. Being a local Werribee girl, Belinda is well known and respected among the sporting clubs and general community. Belinda has developed a special interest in sports physiotherapy, working with various state and national sporting teams. Current involvement includes the Victorian Junior Volleyball squad and Victorian U18 Baseball squad. She has also had extensive training in clinical pilates and uses pilates exercises in helping recovery for patients with spinal pain as well as pre and post natal care. Belinda has recently become the principal physiotherapist at Symmetry Physiotherapy Williamstown as well as working at Symmetry Physiotherapy Hoppers Crossing. On a personal note, she has been a state level representative in athletics and competes regularly in athletics, cycling and triathlons. |
Nathan Hickman

Physiotherapist |
Nathan graduated his Physiotherapy degree from Griffith University on the Gold Coast in 2004 after also completing a Bachelor of Exercise Science, also at Griffith University. Since graduating he worked at Burleigh Central Physiotherapy on the Gold Coast where he had contact with varying clients including elite level sports teams. Having grown up on the surf coast and after spending time practicing in Queensland, Nathan has returned to Victoria to further develop his career, and joined Symmetry Physiotherapy in 2008.
Having been associated with many different sporting teams including AFL, rugby league and touch football Nathan has developed a keen interest in sports physiotherapy, especially knee and shoulder injuries. Also with his exercise science background, he has the expertise and passion in developing and monitoring gym and exercise programs, both for rehabilitation and general fitness.

Linda Kocian

Physiotherapist | Linda, one of the newest members of the Symmetry Physiotherapy team, graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2008. Throughout her studies Linda had vast experience in both public hospital and private rehabilitation settings as well as in community health.
Linda has a keen interest in sports and thus in sports injuries and their rehabilitation. Through this passion she has been keenly involved with the GlenOrden Football Club for the last 3 years, where she has managed both acute and chronic sporting injuries. She is also trained in clinical pilates and will be involved in running classes at Symmetry Physiotherapy and Pilates.
Originally from South Australia, Linda has spent the last four years thoroughly enjoying the Melbourne lifestyle! In her spare time you will find her socialising, playing netball or enjoying her all time favourite activity...running! |
Rochelle Haines

Myotherapist | Rochelle completed an Advanced Diploma in Myotherapy at RMIT in 1999. In 2000 she joined the Symmetry Physiotherapy team as a qualified Myotherapist and has co-ordinated our myotherapy services ever since. During this time Rochelle has been involved on the national triathlon circuit and has been the team myotherapist with a local suburban football club. Over the past four years she has co-ordinated physiotherapy and myotherapy coverage for the Wyndham Relay for Life (A Fundraiser for Cancer) Rochelle has a special interest in the management of headaches and muscle-related spinal pain. She is also trained and proficient in the use of dry needling/acupuncture and specializes in sports and relaxation massage as well as aromatherapy. |
